Ho hum Haikus!
May 30th, 2010
My O My, O dear
My poor tender misled mind
Is a mangled leaf
No easy reprieve
Hath this gentle heart of mine
Of you ‘am bereft
This raw musty air
And clammy surrounds; all mirror
A dead damp spirit
Raindrops on rooftop
In ceaseless mundane clatter
Bespeaks this dull day
Dogs howling far-off
Drone of deep slumber close-by
‘Am awake midway
Songs of yesteryears
I fall back these days to find
They are just as sweet
Picking my guitar
I strike a chord to sing aloud
Life’s songs, all anew
O’er the green vales
I espy the gentle soft wind
Shaking white flags high
Idyllic realm that is
Of peerless grandeur and peace
Live, my motherland
Tshering
I like your contemplative picture of the day and, of course, your haikus that are minus the surprise element!

Many thanks, Ma’am. You are the first reader to have commented on my picture. These miniature versions of my photographs on the blog haven’t been receiving any feedback!
As for the haiku, it is just a modest attempt – no particular theme and in no particular order for that matter, and of course without some of the “cutting” or surprise elements to finish them off.
